Extremely honest staff. I left my handbag containing important documents, such as my passport, on a bench inside the mall and then exited. When I realized the bag was missing the staff had already called my mom to notify her that they have my bag. Thanks to them I didn't have to spend my summer frantically trying to get another passport.
As far as malls go, this mall is fairly good. It's not as big as the Paramus or Menlo Park malls but it has a fairly solid selection of stores and the food court isn't that bad. They're also expanding and constantly adding newer, more modern stores to fit in with the changing needs of their consumer base. All in all it's a pretty solid mall with two floors though not as expansive as nearby stores outside of New York.
It's a great place to bring kids. Especially around Christmas time, because santa Claus is there! And there's a bunch of other stores they can enjoy. And places that adults can have some fun. Staten island mall has a lot of cool stores to buy things.
Ever changing this mall and its growth is astounding. The food court is good but due to the growing of the mall a lot of stores are closed or pending. Aside from that you'll find a little bit of everything that you are looking for!
This mall is no longer the beautiful mall it used to be. Instead of focusing on beauty it focuses on shopping. There are hardly no places to sit and wait while your wife or family shops and all of the beautiful fountains have been removed. It's a modern day sterile and ugly version of what it used to be and the renovations aren't going to make it look any better. So disappointing. At least the fountains would give you something to look at and take pictures for tourists. This place is simply uninviting.
